they are dropping back down to the 50s and 60s. napa like now 57 degrees. downtown san francisco, 66. and san josi, right about 61 degrees. reporting fair skies. overnight lows will be chilly overnight once again, so you definitely want to bundle up for work and school your monday morning. overnight readings in the upper 30s to santa rosa and to the 40s or san francisco and pacifica. san josi, 44 degrees. we're starting out the day in the chilly 30s and 40s. in the afternoon, most areas back into the mid to upper 60s once again. so not much of a change in temperatures, but i'm tracking a cooling trend and when shower chances resurface in in our five-day forecast. >>> thank you, mark. >>> the lights are now back on for thousands of south bay residents after a car crash knock out powers to four neighborhoods. a car struck a utility polite on homestead road in sunnyvale. the accident caused tree branches to fall, as you see here, bringing down the wires. the collision caught pout power 6500 customers. we spoke to one resident who said the whole thing was so loud it actually woke him up. >> i was in

a developing story. san francisco police say two people have been found and gagged in the middle of the street. the victims were found alive but unconscious at 8:30 p.m. we will keep you updated. >>> residents are mourning the death of a neighbor who was the victim of a deadly shooting. the victim was found shot to death outside his home. kron >> reporter: tonight police still suring for -- searching for answers while friends and family are sending out a strong message. holding candles and embracing one another, friends and neighbors gathered to remember their friend who was shot and killed last night. >> beautiful person. >> great personalities. this was a tragedy. >> reporter: police taped up the home this morning. according to investigators the 43-year-old shot multiple time in front of his home died from the wounds. tonight neighbors with a message. >> you don't need to be on the streets. >> he was a good person. >> reporter: he was neighbors with williams. he says he was a good man and he doesn't know why anyone would want to hurt him and says the violence has to stop. >> hard to believe

the bay bridge and toll plaza and that traffic is moving along nicely on into san francisco with no major problems. we also have a look at 280 and san jose and 101 and 285 are off to a great start and hopefully it will stay this way but as more people get on the road, you know how it goes, we will have some more troubled spots. here is weather, steve? >>> clouds increasing later on and low clouds mainly out to the valley but the coastal fog is also coming back. we will get some clouds and an overnight brief rain. this is a really thin system but it is going to turn much colder. overnight lows will be if i having more rain and cooler weather is definitely in the mix. our system is here and by the time it arrives it will not do much but this is not a rainy pattern and the snow will be more of a powdery type by the time it gets here. 50s for many and 60s with a brief rain and much colder. 36 in napa, 39 in santa rosa and petaluma and santa rosa is reporting fog so be careful. get used to these readings low clouds, fog, chilly lows or cold lows. mid-50s and very low 60s. >> brief morning rain

what will move through the country weatherwise. there is a storm developing. if you're in san francisco, it has been a deluge of rain. as we toward tomorrow, watch san francisco once again get hit with rain. you can see that move through. it does move out by monday. monday, the west coast is dry. here's what we're really watching. this will be our christmas week storm more or less. area of low pressure will develop here in the gulf of mexico. we'll bring in moisture from the gulf. there develops that low. this is christmas. it may not be white, but it will be wet. perhaps in little rock and new orleans and birmingham and atlanta, down here into the deep south. if we can get enough cold air down here, we may mix in a few snow flurries. we're keeping an eye on how deep that cold air gets. it looks like that low will develop. and across the country here into the midatlantic and bring some snowwednesday, thursday timeframe into the northeast again. we'll have to keep an eye on that. the focus for today, the northeast, of course, some snow showers even around new york city perhaps today. but

inside a san francisco high rise. inspired the last federal back in july 1993. a former client of a law firm inside 101 -california street. went on a killing spree. nine people including the gunman died. six were wounded. the killer was armed with a handgun and two tech nine assault pistols. the federal ban that came out of that tragedy. expired in 2004. today, a survivor of that shooting spoke to kron4's maureen kelly about the massacre in newtown, and the renewed push for stricter gun control laws in this country. >> i was sitting in my office on the 36 floor on one, california. my secretary said that there is somebody on the party fourth floor with a gun that he is shooting people. that he is on the -- party fourth floor . >> my secretary said that he was on the 34th floor. sheldon siegal worked at the law firm targeted by the gunman .and lost many friends and collegues that day. >> what is upsetting is that it is still happening after 20 years later. it is almost like it is accepted as the regular course of events and that is a huge failure >>reporter: he says the massacre at sandy

to work. just watching an interesting computer model. it's been a deluge, awful travel in san francisco the last couple of days. for tomorrow, watch california, here comes a next system. so another day in san francisco and seattle with rain. by monday, the west coast clears out. but here's the little interesting nugget that could happen. on monday, watch what happens here in the gulf. moisture comes up from the gulf, an area of low pressure develops. this is the deep south. birmingham to new orleans to atlanta, could be a wet christmas. rain, not a white one. then we could see this area of low pressure develop, and it's from tuesday to thursday in the mid-atlantic and northeast, we could be looking at another storm. we'll have to keep our eyes on that model. forecast, though, for today, pretty blustery. watching us from the northeast, new york city could see a few snow showers coming down. but the winds are pretty strong. so it's pretty chilly. so some snow in western great lakes. of course, we're seeing that, the lake-effect snow guns firing off. another wet day on the west coast, rand

interest rate they like. the san francisco city attorney filed suit against check 'n go alleging it jacked up interest rates from the state's legal limit of 36-percent to as high as 400-percent >> we found that a check and go was not adhering to the california interest rates limits. and stephen porter and with out of state banks to partner and get around those. we are going to work with people throughout the state to make sure that we get folks restitution that they deserve. >> reporter: the city has now reached a settlement with check n go. without admitting any wrongdoing check-n-go has agreed to refund up to 4.3 million dollars to californians who were overcharged when taking out online 4-month installment loans between november 2006 and june 2008. now grant here's the hitch. people only have 90 days to apply for this refund. and that 90 days begins tomorrow. >> grant: how much money can people expect to get back. >> depending on how much interest you were charged it could be anywhere from 20-dollars to 46-hundred dollars. now to find out if you qualify you can go to the website caloanr
